Webedia Group announces the appointment of Cyril Morcrette as Chief Technology and AI Officer (Group Chief Technology & AI Officer), a member of the Executive Committee, effective Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
Cyril has over twenty-five years of experience leading ambitious engineering organizations, particularly in high-audience digital environments.
Within the WEBEDIA-ELEPHANT Group, he will be responsible for all tech teams internationally: development, systems and network infrastructure, with a particular focus on the deployment of our data architecture and our strategic initiatives in artificial intelligence. In this role, he and his teams will play a key role in our consumer product redesign projects and in the creation or evolution of our business platforms, particularly in the film and influencer sectors.
A graduate of EPITA and holder of a Master of Science in Information Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), he has built his career at the intersection of technology, digital uses and business acceleration.
Previously CTO of Papernest (French Tech 120), where he structured and developed European teams, launched new energy offerings, and integrated generative AI into core operations, he previously led the technology department at Mappy for over ten years, spearheading the redesign of geographic platforms, the transition to Web2Store and then MaaS, and overseeing the sale and integration of the platform within RATP Smart Systems. He also gained extensive experience in media at Lagardère Active, where he managed the web and mobile platforms for numerous brands (Europe1, Elle, Paris Match, Doctissimo, etc.), contributing to technological harmonization and audience growth. Cyril started his career in telecommunications and software, notably at SFR, Critical Path, and as co-founder of the startup Ukibi. He is also an active member of the Tech.Rocks and MIT Alumni communities in France.
