More Space, More Show, More FYNG – Webedia Goes XXL at gamescom 2025

August 7, 2025 -

Webedia is bringing the largest stage of the Entertainment hall to gamescom 2025 with Find Your Next Game (FYNG), including 40+ hours of livestreaming, a dedicated FYNG City, and an international show format. FYNG is becoming a global format: over 30 premieres, a live show featuring Viva La Dirt League, and published in seven languages.

Instead of simply exhibiting, Webedia is doing what games do best at gamescom 2025: immersive, loud, and live. Covering 752 square meters, the media company will operate the largest booth in the Entertainment Area (Hall 10.1) – turning it into the center of an interactive experience world focused on games, entertainment, and community.

At the heart of it all is FYNG City – an open-concept space featuring a show stage, hands-on hardware, live formats, and partners like NZXT, SteelSeries, Tulpar, Topstar, Hasbro, and Epic Games. Each contributes their own dedicated areas right in the middle of the action. The stage itself is an impressive setup: 14 meters wide, with 8 meters dedicated to a central LED wall, flanked by two additional screens – a bold visual statement in the center of the hall.

In addition to the FYNG City Partners, Webedia is also collaborating with a range of FYNG program partners – including NVIDIA and GIGABYTE / AORUS, Paramount+, 2K, and Vodafone, among others.

Presented on-site and broadcasted by GameStar, the FYNG program showcases Webedia’s cross-media strategy – uniting talent like Maurice Weber (GetHero) with brands across gaming, film, and pop culture, such as FILMSTARTS and Moviepilot.

From here, Webedia will stream over 40 hours of live content during gamescom week – including talks, demos, interviews, premieres, and spontaneous live moments.

Joining the lineup are numerous surprise guests from the world of gaming and pop culture – among them Timo Boll, Germany’s most famous table tennis player and an international ambassador for precision, fairness, and sportsmanship.

The Show Must Game On

One of the major highlights is the FYNG Show on Wednesday, August 20: a two-hour streaming event featuring over 30 trailers and world premieres, live voting, and surprise guests – including an appearance by Viva La Dirt League, one of the world’s biggest gaming comedy groups, based in New Zealand.

With more than 7 million YouTube subscribers, they are among the most popular comedy creators in the gaming scene. Their unique blend of gaming satire, RPG parody, and lovingly crafted nerd culture brings humour, community energy, and loads of inside jokes straight to the FYNG stage and livestream – with multiple appearances throughout Webedia’s gamescom week.

The show will be hosted by Ann-Kathrin Kuhls and Maurice Weber, accompanied by a pre-show with Michael Obermeier starting at 5:00 PM (CEST).

In cooperation with the Indie Arena Booth, the FYNG Indie Award will once again be presented. The nominated titles will be showcased during the show, followed by a community vote to decide the winner – a prize straight from the heart of the gaming fan community.

FYNG Goes Global

With the FYNG Showcase at gamescom 2025, Webedia is launching a broad initiative to establish FYNG as an international entertainment IP beyond Germany. At the heart of this strategy is consistent content localization: the entire FYNG Show will be published in native-language versions across seven countries on the leading gaming platforms in Europe and South America – including JV (France), 3DJuegos and 3DJuegos LATAM (Spain & Latin America), IGN Brazil, FYNG & Gamepressure (UK, US), GameStar (Germany), and GRYOnline. (Poland).

“Taking FYNG global after its German success is an exciting next step, fueled by our conviction and clear industry feedback that the market is ready for a format that’s both globally consistent and locally authentic,” says Dawid Hallmann, Director Gaming & Tech at Webedia.

“We deliver a strong, central FYNG framework, but empower our market-leading local teams to adapt it with a unique voice that resonates with their communities. This allows us to build authentic engagement locally, then unify that collective power globally under the FYNG IP. This combination of local relevance and global reach makes us an essential partner for publishers and clients. And honestly, we’re just getting started.”

For the Show’s creators, this strategy means they can now tap into the full potential of one of the industry’s strongest networks, unlocking new opportunities for cross-border content and collaboration.

“From a content perspective, this expansion is a game-changer,” adds Michael Graf, Head of Video at Webedia Germany. “It means we can collaborate directly with our entire international network to increase awareness and secure more key exclusives for the ever-growing FYNG Show. I am looking forward to working even more closely with our colleagues around the world, and this collaboration perfectly complements the growth of our recently launched English-language Find Your Next Game channel on YouTube.”
