Webedia-Elephant Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Sylvain Andries as Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the Executive Committee, effective September 1, 2026.
Reporting directly to Christian Bombrun, Chief Executive Officer of the Group, Sylvain will be responsible for supporting Webedia-Elephant’s profitable growth trajectory and driving its strategic investments as part of the Group’s transformation plan. He will oversee the Finance teams in France and internationally, including Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, Consolidation, Treasury and Payroll, with the objective of implementing a unified, data-driven financial management framework across all Group entities. He will also be responsible for General Services in France.
Since early 2023, Sylvain has served as Chief Financial Officer at Matawan, a multi-award-winning technology platform and member of the French Tech 120. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in digital business models, complex capital transactions and the management of strategic international projects.
A graduate of ESSEC Business School, Sylvain Andries brings more than twenty-five years of experience leading the finance functions of high-growth technology and digital companies. He began his career at Procter & Gamble before joining Boston Consulting Group. He then became CFO of Caudalie, where he supported the company’s international expansion. Sylvain later joined Criteo, a pioneer in AdTech and Retail Media, at the time of its NASDAQ IPO, serving as Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis and leading the company’s financial performance management. He subsequently joined Vestiaire Collective, the global leader in pre-owned fashion operating in 70 countries, where he led the finance function and oversaw several major fundraising rounds.
