Webedia Latam : Webedia launches 3DJuegos LATAM and Xataka gaming to strengthen its positioning in the Latin American video game industry

April 4, 2022 -

3DJuegos LATAM and Xataka Gaming are here to lead the coverage of video games and their events for the entire Latin American public.

3DJuegos and Xataka Mexico, leading Spanish-language gaming and technology media, begin a new chapter with the launch of 3DJuegos LATAM and Xataka Gaming, reinforcing their offer of gaming content aimed at Latin American audiences.

Webedia, the leading international media group dedicated to digital entertainment, announced this new expansion that will strengthen its gaming division People of the Game. 3DJuegos LATAM is a website that includes content completely localised and produced in Latin America, while Xataka Gaming is the new section within Xataka Mexico to cover all the news from the video game market that interests the casual gamer.

“We are very excited to introduce 3DJuegos LATAM and Xataka Gaming. Knowing the passion that exists for video games in Latin America and building on the expertise we have at a regional level under our umbrella brand People of the Game, it is time to expand our content offering of two of our flagship brands supported by a team of experts in video games and technology, said Annabelle Morand, CEO of Webedia LATAM.

3DJuegos LATAM welcomes all gamers in Latin America

3DJuegos is a magazine specialising in video games with more than 15 years of history and tradition. Since its arrival in Latin America, just over 4 years ago, Webedia introduced the 3DJuegos Mexico project which, with a team of experts and opinion leaders in video games, has been responsible for positioning the brand locally. The new phase that begins with 3DJuegos LATAM involves the launch of a new website, where our audiences will be able to enjoy the best coverage of the videogame industry and all the audiovisual content that is already part of the current offer of 3DJuegos Mexico, but with a relevant focus for the entire Latin American region. This transition makes a lot of sense considering that 3DJuegos Mexico already has a very large and vocal community from all over the continent.

With a major visual change, 3DJuegos LATAM is also looking to refresh and modernise the look and feel of our website, aiming to make it more attractive and user-friendly for our audience. With its new multi-country approach, the website will have specialised sections for different regions of Latin America.

Serving Hispanic American audiences in the best way possible also requires a major effort on the part of the editorial team, which is why 3DJuegos LATAM has doubled its staff, looking for talents in South America that will complement the team that has already been consolidated in Mexico.

“Latin America is a very important region for Webedia and its People of the Game brand, which has more than 8 million unique visitors to its media. The launch of 3DJuegos LATAM allows us to reinforce the strategy that began with the arrival of 3DJuegos Mexico to better serve our regional audience,” said César Ovando, Editor-in-Chief of 3DJuegos LATAM.

Xataka Gaming to cater for the casual gamer and the enthusiast of new technologies.

For more than 10 years Xataka has been a leader in technology journalism in Mexico and Latin America, where video games and the events surrounding them have always been an important part of the coverage. Now this coverage will be strengthened with the launch of a section dedicated to gaming.

Xataka Gaming will be in charge of covering all the latest news, releases and events related to video games. A place for the casual gamer to find the best coverage of their favourite games and for the technology enthusiast to learn about the new advances that are revolutionising this industry.

All of this by taking advantage of the experience of an editorial team that is a reference in specialised journalism and, above all, passionate about technology and video games.

“Gamers have diversified in recent years, there are those who play on a console, those who enjoy a puzzle on their mobile or those who build a brutal PC to take advantage of the latest hardware technologies. A broad market that we will compact with timely coverage in Xataka Gaming,” said Rodrigo Garrido, Editorial Director of Xataka Mexico.
