On the occasion of MIPCOM 2023, the developments of several channels are revealed around emblematic brands such as AlloCiné, Épicurieux and Popcorn.
The strong growth in FAST (Free Ad-Supported TV) channels, fueled by the rise of connected TVs, bears witness to the changing habits of TV content consumers. This fundamental trend will revolutionize access to programs and content in the coming years.
Following the successful launch in 2022 of MGG FAST, the first fast channel dedicated to esports, the Webedia group is continuing to develop its other strong brands in this market by joining forces with SAMSUNG TV Plus, the largest FAST platform on the market.
In the coming weeks, users will have access to 3 new channels.
Popcorn, the #1 talk show on Twitch for the past 5 seasons, will be available via its dedicated FAST channel from November 1, 2023.
AlloCiné, to celebrate its 30th anniversary, will have its own FAST channel with all the latest cinema & series news, not forgetting cult original programs like “Faux Raccord”. Available from November 15, 2023.
Last but not least, Épicurieux, the social media channel embodied by Jamy Gourmaud, will complete the offering. Available early 2024.
These channels will be available exclusively from Samsung TV Plus, a Samsung application pre-installed on Samsung Smart TVs (2016 – 2023) and Galaxy mobiles, providing instant access to more than 110 free channels in France.
The Webedia Group also announces that other FAST channel projects are currently under development in France and abroad.
